A handmade cork hat made by hand by an artisan using rabbit fur felt.
The cork hat, commonly known as the bowler hat, has a long history, having been first made in 1850 and becoming popular in Japan during the Meiji period. It is still famous today as a hat with a traditional shape.
At CROWTED HATTERS, in order to maintain the traditional form, we reproduce everything by hand, including the thick 50mm ribbon, the piping made from 38mm ribbon folded in three, and the subtle curl at the end of the brim.
This hat goes well with classic fashion, but is also recommended for adding a twist to casual fashion; just wearing it will give you a stylish look.
